Balkan Beats A Go Go

This was created while listening to a friend of mine spin live. I caught him on his "After the After Party," set and was able to listen to him and a few of his friends for what was a 10 hour set.
New to house music, I was most impressed with the intensity their music brought. It wasn't conventional house music, but house music with a deep mind set, and trance like influence. Their music was the infusion of deep bass, with melodic horns, and samples, well written into their work. Creative a new style of house music like any thing I have heard from the house community in many years. What these kids have going on will reunite classic house fans, as well as those seeking something new, positive, and creative from the scene.
DJ Deepvibes asked me to think of what inspired me musically while I listened to his set. when I heard him pop the horns and mix so many different styles, I came to the Balkan Beat Box, as my selection. As I thought it best described his music, while keeping in tote with what Iloved as of late.
The Balkan Beat Box is a spin off of the infamous Gogol Bordello, A Russian Gypsy punk rock band, but in this sense they have given way to house music, and several eastern European styles, best known as the "Balkan Sound."
